"Stacking the Shelves" is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers can share the latest books they've received and discover new titles while visiting other blogs.

It seems to be an ongoing theme... a month between Stacking the Shelves posts!! I got a lot of books for Christmas (like all the Women of the Otherworld books I was missing, to mention a few), but I really don't feel like listing all of those. Instead I want to feature the ones I've kindly been sent for review:

For Review:

From HBG Canada:
- The Archived by Victoria Schwab
- Altered by Jennifer Rush (Review Here)

From Spencer Hill Press:
- Apollyon (Covenant #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

For Tour Review:
- Recalled by Cambria Hebert
- A Song for Julia by Charles Sheehan-Miles

Netgalley
- The Holders by Julia Scott
- The Rules by Stacey Kade
- Every Never After by Lesley Livingston
- School Spirits by Rachel Hawkins

Edelweiss
- Mind Games by Kiersten White

Sorry for no eBook pictures... I figure you can still click the links to Goodreads to see the pretty covers, and I'd rather spend my time writing up more reviews for you to check out than spend my time editing pics.

Can't wait to see what everyone has received this week. =)

Stacking the Shelves (14)

"Stacking the Shelves" is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers can share the latest books they've received and discover new titles while visiting other blogs.

I haven't done a STS post in about a month or so again. I might be missing a few, but here's what I can remember getting (also I'm too lazy to get pictures for the digital covers, but you can check them out on Goodreads!).

Bought:

- Lust for Life (WVMP #4) by Jeri Smith-Ready
- Into the Hollow (EIT #6) by Karina Halle
- My Favorite Mistake by Chelsea M. Cameron
- On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves
- What A Boy Wants by Nyrae Dawn
- Charade by Nyrae Dawn
- Measuring Up by Nyrae Dawn
- Radiant (Unearthly #2.5) by Cynthia Hand
- Opal (Lux #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
- None of the Regular Rules by Erin Downing

My name is Ashley and I have an eBook buying problem. :/

In all seriousness, I am loving Nyrae Dawn's books, especially Measuring Up. I'm excited to read the ones I haven't purchased yet.

For Review:

From Raincoast Books:
- Things I Can't Forget by Miranda Kenneally

To be honest I feel incredibly blessed to get this one, because it was easily one of my most anticipated books of next year. I've already read it and it lives up to her past books, for sure!

Netgalley:
- Hooked by Liz Fichera
- Poison by Bridgette Zinn (2013 debut!)
- Shadowhunters and Downworlders: A Mortal Instruments Reader edited by Cassandra Clare
- Altered by Jennifer Rush

From Author:
- Scarlette by Davonna Juroe
- Sound (Solid #3) by Shelley Workinger

For Blog Tour:
- Edge of the Past (Edge #2) by Jennifer Comeaux

I really enjoyed the first book, so I was really excited to be included in the blog tour for book 2. This book is SO EMOTIONAL, holy moly. My review will be coming in mid-January.

Borrowed From Library

- Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan

I waited for so long for my digital hold of this one to come in, and it finalllly did! So, SO good. A late addition to my Christmas list now, and definitely one of my faves of the year.

Won from Harlequin Teen

- The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa

So excited to get this one!

Stacking the Shelves (13)

"Stacking the Shelves" is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers can share the latest books they've received and discover new titles while visiting other blogs.

Here's what I've received over the past few weeks:

For Review:

Huge thanks to Penguin Canada:
- Just One Day by Gayle Forman
- The Madness Underneath (Shades of London #2) by Maureen Johnson

These are two of my most anticipated books of 2013, so needless to say I was THRILLED to be able to receive ARCs of them.

From Netgalley:
- Tempestuous by Kim Askew and Amy Helmes
- Exposure by Kim Askew and Amy Helmes
- The Girl in the Wall by Daphne Benedis-Grab
- The Lives We Lost (Fallen World #2) by Megan Crewe

Thanks to the authors:
- The Kiss Off by Sarah Billington
- Impossible by Komal Lewis

For blog tour:
- The Warlock's Curse by M.K. Hobson

Gifted from Robin Brande:

- Freefall by Elizabeth Ruston
- Fire & Ice (Hearts on Fire #2) by Elizabeth Ruston

Robin has begun to write adult romance novels under the name Elizabeth Ruston, and she is always so incredibly sweet to send her books my way, with no obligation for review or anything. You can check out my Goodreads review for 'Freefall' here -- it's a really sweet book featuring some amazing characters.

I would also be remiss not to mention the awesome Ontario Book Blogger Meetup for 2012, which occurred on November 3 in Toronto. I was privileged enough to attend for the 2nd year in a row. I received a ton of amazing books through trade/giveaway from fellow bloggers, and through the generosity of all the Canadian publishers who were part of the meet up. I feel bad not doing a huge recap for the event, but I just don't feel up to it right now. I'm excited to check out all the books I received through the event, especially Sever by Lauren DeStefano. I adored Wither, but I felt kind of so-so toward Fever, so I'm definitely excited to see where the trilogy ends.

And those are my awesome titles. Can't wait to see which books are stacking your shelves this week. =)

This is definitely my next read!

From Smart Pop Books on Netgalley:

Stacking the Shelves (10)

"Stacking the Shelves" is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers can share the latest books they've received and discover new titles while visiting other blogs.

It's been about a month since I last did a STS post, so here are the highlights:

Bought:

- Werewolves by Kelley Armstrong (includes Bitten, Stolen, and Beginnings novella)

Looking forward to starting this series! It'll definitely be my next big reading endeavour once I get through a few more review books.

- Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
- Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout
- Fearless by Brigid Kemmerer

I read 'Obsidian' from Netgalley, so I decided to buy my own copy and re-read it before 'Onyx' came out. I liked 'Obsidian' a lot more upon re-read, and 'Onyx' was fabulous.

I had no clue that 'Fearless' (an Elementals novella) had been released! I still need to read it, but I'm definitely intrigued what it will reveal about Hunter's past.

For Review:

From Macmillan:
- Stormdancer by Jay Kristoff

From Netgalley:
- Shadowlands by Kate Brian
- Lies that Bind by Lisa & Laura Roecker
- Spark by Brigid Kemmerer (special thanks to Vida for making this happen)
- My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century by Rachel Harris

Really looking forward to reading 'Shadowlands'! I've been reading Kate Brian/Kieran Scott/Emma Harrison for about 6 years now, so I'm excited to see what she does next.

Spark was FABULOUS -- my review will be posted tomorrow.

From Raincoast Books & Macmillan:
- Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

*flails*

From author for blog tour:
- Stitch by Samantha Durante

Gifted:

- Enclave by Ann Aguirre

For hitting 300 reviews on Amazon, Ann gave away 300 copies (!) of the book on Kindle. I was lucky enough to get one, and I'm looking forward to re-reading it soon.

Here's what I've received in the past 2 weeks:

From Library:

- Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger
- A Need So Beautiful by Suzanne Young

Loving the Parasol Protectorate books so far... the first one has been my favourite, but I'm still looking forward to the next couple.

For Review:

From Edelweiss:
- Rebel Heart by Moira Young

From Raincoast Books:
- Stealing Parker by Miranda Kenneally
- Outpost by Ann Aguirre
- Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake

SO, SO excited for Rebel Heart, but I need to read a few other books first. I already read Stealing Parker and it was perfect! Just as good as Catching Jordan.

Bought:

- Feeling Sorry for Celia by Jaclyn Moriarty
- The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale
- Vacations from Hell by Libba Bray etc

We brought some books to donate to the Goodwill Bookstore and of course I had to look and see what they had. ;) I picked these three up for $8 total, which was a bargain I couldn't resist.

Traded:

From Avery
- Mister Death's Blue Eyed Girls by Mary Downing Hahn
- Rift by Andrea Cremer

From Sara
- The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa

Avery & I met up with Sara for the first time (yay for finding new local bloggers!) and we all exchanged some books. I already read Rift based on Avery's recommendation and it was pretty fabulous!
