Here's what I've received over the past few weeks:
- Just One Day by Gayle Forman
- The Madness Underneath (Shades of London #2) by Maureen Johnson
These are two of my most anticipated books of 2013, so needless to say I was THRILLED to be able to receive ARCs of them.
- Tempestuous by Kim Askew and Amy Helmes
- Exposure by Kim Askew and Amy Helmes
- The Girl in the Wall by Daphne Benedis-Grab
- The Lives We Lost (Fallen World #2) by Megan Crewe
Thanks to the authors:
- The Kiss Off by Sarah Billington
- Impossible by Komal Lewis
For blog tour:
- The Warlock's Curse by M.K. Hobson
Gifted from Robin Brande:
Freefall by Elizabeth Ruston
- Fire & Ice (Hearts on Fire #2) by Elizabeth Ruston
Robin has begun to write adult romance novels under the name Elizabeth Ruston, and she is always so incredibly sweet to send her books my way, with no obligation for review or anything. You can check out my Goodreads review for 'Freefall' here -- it's a really sweet book featuring some amazing characters.
I would also be remiss not to mention the awesome Ontario Book Blogger Meetup for 2012, which occurred on November 3 in Toronto. I was privileged enough to attend for the 2nd year in a row. I received a ton of amazing books through trade/giveaway from fellow bloggers, and through the generosity of all the Canadian publishers who were part of the meet up. I feel bad not doing a huge recap for the event, but I just don't feel up to it right now. I'm excited to check out all the books I received through the event, especially Sever by Lauren DeStefano. I adored Wither, but I felt kind of so-so toward Fever, so I'm definitely excited to see where the trilogy ends.
And those are my awesome titles. Can't wait to see which books are stacking your shelves this week. =)
Oh...some great books there! I just finished The Girl in the Wall (be forewarned, the e-Arc is a little messed up...at least mine was) and just won Warlock's curse! I would love to see your recap of the meet-up even if it's not for a while. Yay for Sever! The Madness Underneath looks so good too :)ReplyDelete
Ooh darn I hate when eARCs are formatted all wonky. I'll be sure to look out for that. =)Delete
I loved Wither too, and while Fever wasn't as good, I still can't wait to read Sever. Seeing that the ARCs of it our out makes me so happy, and I can't wait to read it!!ReplyDelete
Yes I am definitely excited! Hopefully I'll have some time to read it soon-ish.Delete
Just One Day! I think I saw you give it 5 stars on Goodreads? I am looking forward to that one, and of course your review. I really want to get my hands on a copy of Sever. I love the series, and even Fever, and am curious on how it will all end. :)ReplyDelete
You can check out what books I got this week here!
Yes, I felt conflicted over some parts of it, but I still loved other parts enough for 5 stars because I couldn't stop thinking about it afterward!Delete
OMG I want to read "Just One Day" SOOOO badly!!! :)ReplyDelete
Here's my IMM:
I know, I was SO incredibly psyched. It's rare that I freak out about ARCs, but that was one that I was dying for. I hope you can get a copy, and otherwise hopefully console yourself that it's only a couple/few months away. :SDelete
Great books!! I'm glad you got some of your most awaited for 2013 ones :DReplyDelete
Thanks =) I was definitely so excitedDelete
Ooh I'll definitely have to check out Gayle Foreman's new one! And The Lives We Lost!! On Netgalley? I thought Disney-Hyperion doesn't approve for bloggers! OMG must go check it out. :)ReplyDelete
Nice to see you again last week!!
Michele | Stacking the Shelves
I'm not sure what the policy is now that Netgalley is all changed.. I've heard some bloggers get it. Personally I've always had access to them because of my status being librarian (even though I haven't actually worked in a library yet).Delete
So good to see you too! I wish I was a bit closer to TO so I could hang out with all of you more often.
Oooh! Look at all the lovelies!! :D "Sever" (obviously everyone is wanting this one :D I hope you enjoy it!) Im very curious about Warlocks Curse though I'll definitely have to look into it - Great stacking the shelves this week :)ReplyDelete
Stacking The Shelves
Yes, The Warlock's Curse sounds really good, so I'm excited to be a part of the tour. =)Delete
Awesome books this week, Ashley! Just One Day!!! I'm so jealous! And Sever! I really liked Wither, but wasn't a huge fan of the second book, BUT I can't wait to see how it all wraps up. YAY!ReplyDelete
Enjoy all your reads!
Ha, I feel like almost everyone had the same opinion about Fever... I'm definitely curious to hear how it all ends!Delete
Ooh the Madness Underneath! Lucky! I've really enjoyed the Name of the Star. It was so nice to see you in person Ashley!. That is so dangerous that you showed me those NetGalley titles are available. Happy reading!ReplyDelete
I'm reading The Madness Underneath now... very excited!Delete
It was so lovely to meet you as well!! =)
I just picked up THE WAY WE FALL on the weekend, so exciting to see the sequel in your StS post. :)ReplyDelete
Ooh awesome! I really really enjoyed TWWF, so I'm psyched to check out the sequel sometime soonish.Delete
Ooh Just One Day and Sever! I got a package from Penguin today and I was really hoping it was Just One Day, I'm so silly. Can't wait to hear what you think of it! Thanks for sharing your awesome reads. Hope you enjoy them all :)ReplyDelete
Oh I would be hoping the same thing. I feel so fortunate to have it!Delete
Omg Just One Day! I am definitely looking forward to this one! I read and LOVED If I Stay and Forman's writing, so I know this one will be great too! Great haul!ReplyDelete
