Books Read: 17
Books Reviewed: 9
Challenge Books Read: 2 DAC books
eBooks Read: 9 [including Netgalley/GalleyGrab titles]

Favourite...

Standalone Book Read: I think that would be Lola and the Boy Next Door. I actually don't love it like I love 'Anna', but it still had magic to it.
Series Book Read: Hmm, tough call, put probably The Demon King.
Female Character: Honestly none of them really stood out to me as a favourite.
Male Character: Adrian Ivashkov in Bloodlines of course, and Cricket in Lola and the Boy Next Door.

AUGUST

Number of...

Books Read: 28
Books Reviewed: 11
Challenge Books Read: 5 DAC books and 1 for The Contemps
eBooks Read: 14 [including Netgalley/GalleyGrab titles]
Library Books Read: 11

Favourite...

Standalone Book Read: Complete tie between Wanderlove and Graffiti Moon ... I had a hard time reading and liking any book after these, I was that blown away.
Series Book Read: Tap & Gown (Secret Society Girl #4) -- this whole series is so awesome and fun, but I really fell in love with the fourth book.
Female Character: Deryn from Goliath (Leviathan trilogy)... she is so freaking strong and awesome as a middy, but she's still totally a girl with her adorable crush on Alek.
Male Character: Jamie from the Secret Society Girl books... I love how he's not what he seems, and the character transformation he brings about in Amy.

Random Acts of Kindness - July Wrap-Up

RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) is an amazing feature hosted each month by Isalys and Vanessa at Book Soulmates. Click the banner above to find out more information.

Here are my RAK for July:

The lovely Ambur sent me 'City of Fallen Angels', confirming my theory that Cassie Clare's fans love to share her work with others. I now own all of her books, and I've received them all from fellow book bloggers!

I also got 'The Iron King' from Kellie, which was awesome. I've read all those books but I didn't own any until now.

So thank you so much ladies for another great RAK month. I wasn't able to send any books out, but I'm hoping to do so this month.

You can sign up for August's RAK here. The awesome Isalys and Vanessa have added a giveaway for a $20 Amazon gift card which RAK participants can enter, so be sure and check that out.

Random Acts of Kindness - June Wrap-Up

June was another awesome month for RAK!

As I mentioned last month, Sara had sent me 2 books, but they hadn't arrived yet. She sent me two books that we both adore, which are 'Wither' and 'Jellicoe Road'.

Emilie sent me 'Clockwork Angel' because she had an extra copy. This makes the 4th Cassie Clare book I have been gifted in the past two months. How cool is that?

Katherine sent me that chapter sampler of 'The Death Cure' because she saw I had that book on my wishlist. I can't wait to delve into it!

What I sent out:
One of my favourite reads, 'Anna and the French Kiss', to Sonia.

Needless to say, this was a very exciting RAK month. Thank you again, ladies! The coolest thing is that all the books I received came from Canadian bloggers, and the book I gifted was to a Canadian blogger as well!

Random Acts of Kindness - May Wrap-Up

RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) is an amazing feature hosted each month by Isalys and Vanessa at Book Soulmates. Click the banner above to find out more information.

***

May was the first month I received anything from RAK, so needless to say I was very excited and touched.

Cherie sent me a copy of 'City of Bones' & Cassie sent me the first three (!) of the Mortal Instruments books.

I feel bad about getting a double! I will definitely have to do a giveaway for it within the next little while.

The lovely Sara also sent me a couple of books from my must-have pile, but they haven't arrived yet. If Canada Post cooperates I should have them within the next couple of weeks, but either way I will post about those books in June's wrap-up post.

I'm so touched by people's generosity, and I'm excited for June's list to come around, because I will definitely be sending out a book or two.
